This list is subject to enlargement as the project progresses, and as we go through our Library. Also included, but not listed are various conversations, via telephone, in person, or over the internet, via email. Also, written correspondence for the period before we were online (i.e., the 1990s.) We also plan to section it off into areas, and extend the comments as far as possible.
Ahlstrom, Sydney E. A RELIGIOUS HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. This book covers some of the non-traditional religious movements that migrated to America, that were tied to various elements of the Authentic Tradition in Europe, namely, the German Brethren, the followers of Boehme, the Rapp family, etc.
Akerman, Susanna. CHRISTINA OF SWEDEN (1626 - 1689), THE PORTA MAGICA, AND THE ITALIAN POETS OF THE GOLDEN AND ROSY CROSS. Has some invaluable information on the Gold Rosicrucians.
Andrews, George V. EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL FRIENDS AND FOES. This is the work that presents the story of the Asiatic Brethren as being the instigators of Nazism.
Andrews and Schellenberger. THE TOMB OF GOD. A flawed book, but has some interesting bits of information that help fit the story together.
Anonymous (or Uncredited) -- (but based on EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL FRIENDS AND FOES by George Andrews. This is a comic, from a short lived comic magazine called 100% True.) Summer 1996. The Title is: SAUCER SORCERY. It claims that it all began with the apparition of the Comte de Saint Germain, the Initiated Brethren of Asia, and evocation of alien demons... then the Golden Dawn... then Crowley.... then Hitler and the UFOS of the Third Reich... then Operation Paper CLip... then Hubbard and Parsons and the Babalon Working... Opening the Gateway... Psychedelic Drugs... popularity of UFOS and ETs... Led Zeppelin music, etc. Simpleton stuff, but... it does hint at the perpetuation of something through certain lines of descent, but not the nasty nazi stuff.
-- LIVES OF THE ALCHEMYSTICAL PHILOSOPHERS. Useful for some of the biographical data.
-- RITUALS OF THE FRATRES LUCIS. (Kessinger Reprint). This tiny booklet, though skeletal, contains more than one very useful item to the student who is tracing the development of the Asiatic Brethren.
-- THE APPARITIONS AT LA SALLETTE, 1846. A detailed description released by the Church in the 1870s, giving the whole text of the communications.
Archives of the Sovereign Sanctuary etc. A SKETCH OF THE HISTORY OF THE ANTIENT AND PRIMITIVE RITE OF MASONRY IN FRANCE, AMERICA, AND GREAT BRITAIN, WITH CHARTERS & OTHER DOCUMENTS FROM THE ARCHIVES OF THE SOVEREIGN SANCTUARY IN AND FOR LATIN AMERICA, IBERIAN PENINSULA AND GREAT BRITAIN. Baader, Franz Xaver von. THE SECRET TEACHINGS OF MARTINES DE PASQUALLY. With a large, anonymously written, historical essay, which covers the entire 18th Century, Historical Notice on Martinesism and Martinism. This material has yet to be assimilated into the Timeline, but it shall be.
Baigent, Leigh, and Lincoln. HOLY BLOOD, HOLY GRAIL. The Classic, even if it might be considered sensational, has its place in our work.
-- THE MESSIANIC LEGACY. Ditto.
Baigent and Leigh. THE TEMPLE AND THE LODGE. The best history of Freemasonry, for the Common Man, that we can recommend. Traces the Templars, from their extermination, through the Scottish Clan system, and the Stone Masons; and the R + C, to the Grand Lodge days.
Balsiger, David, and Sellier, Charles E. Jr. THE LINCOLN CONSPIRACY. Tells us that Thurlow Weed was behind the conspiracy to assassinate Lincoln. Therefore it should be of interest to all Masons.
Barlet, F. Ch. ESSAI SUR L'ÉVOLUTION DE L'IDÉE. This is a methodical, scientific history of the evolution of ideas, from antiquity to the 19th Century. This work concentrates primarily on the ancestry of the 19th Century Occult Revival in France, therefore it is of prime importance.
-- NOS MAÎTRES: SAINT YVES D'ALVEYDRE. The story of Saint Yves d'Alveydre is crucial to gaining an understanding of the French Occult Revival.
Barraclough, Geoffrey. AN INTRODUCTION TO CONTEMPORARY HISTORY. For Historical Theory and Orientation purposes.
Barrett, Francis. THE MAGUS. (Citadel Press edition). The Introduction by Timothy d'Arch Smith gives us some information on Barrett, and his retinue. Also this is one of the historical volumes in the Western Esoteric Tradition, even though it isn't in the best condition.
Bertrand, L. LA SORCELLERIE. This is an anti-Magic text, the Church lashing out against the high popularity of the French Occult Revival.
Bianchini, Luca, et al. THE ILLUMINATI pieces on the ITALIANOPERA WEBSITE. An excellent website devoted to Musicians and Composers who were members of the Bavarian Illuminati.
Blanchard, J. KNIGHT TEMPLARISM ILLUSTRATED. Covers the Council and Commandery Degrees. The RItuals themselves are necessary in order to understand the history.
-- SCOTTISH RITE MASONRY ILLUSTRATED. Covers the AASR Degrees. Ditto, plus the rantings of Blanchard in between each Degree is priceless.
Blanshard, Paul. AMERICAN FREEDOM AND CATHOLIC POWER. Invaluable.
Blavatsky, H. P. ISIS UNVEILED. This is definitely one of the Great Books in the Western Esoteric Tradition, and has a lot of information of a historical nature.
-- THE SECRET DOCTRINE. Ditto.
-- ESOTERIC WRITINGS. Ditto.
-- LODGES OF MAGIC, article from LUCIFER Magazine. All that said, the Old Woman does manage to enjoy bashing Magicians.
Bramley, William. THE GODS OF EDEN. An excellent work, even if it is written from a fairly anti-Occult pov, still it elaborates the rift in the Brotherhood, which led to the split into Black and White Lodges, and irreconcilable differences between the two. Some of the historical material is inaccurate.
Bredvold, Louis I. THE LITERATURE OF THE RESTORATION AND THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY 1660 - 1798. Useful for the period under consideration.
Brodbeck, Karl. FREIMAURERLOGEN, DIE VERSCHIEDENEN SYSTEME UND AEHNLICHE ORGANIZATIONEN. [From Koenig's Site.] Useful.
Burgoyne, Thomas H. (as channelled by Minnie Higgin.) THE LIGHT OF EGYPT VOLUME II. Channelled after Burgoyne passed on.
Burke, Edmond. REFLECTIONS ON THE REVOLUTION IN FRANCE. A Historical classic.
Burke, James. CONNECTIONS.
-- THE DAY THE UNIVERSE CHANGED.
Plus the Excellent Television series that accompany these books, and Connections II and III. The Third Series has coverage of some of the Adepti of the Western Esoteric Tradition. Both of these works are necessary, in re our work, because, essentially, we are doing with Esoterica, what Burke did with Science, Technology, Mathematics, etc.
Cameron, Rondo. CIVILIZATION SINCE WATERLOO. A Reader, with source documents.
Cardozo, Don. ORIGINS OF ALCHEMY IN THE WEST. Webpage article. http://www.angelfire.com/nt/dragon9/HISTORY.html

Carr, Edward Hallett. WHAT IS HISTORY? According to Henry Ford, History is all Bunk.
Castellot, F. Jollivet. LE GRAND-OEUVRE ALCHIMIQUE. This is a small pamphlet, outlining what Alchemy is, and what the French Alchemical Society is.
-- COMMENT ON DEVIENT ALCHIMISTE. This work details the history of the French Alchemical Society, its descent from Baron Tschoudy's system, and from the Thebaid Solitaries. Also, it gives the lineal descent of the French Occult Revival, up to and including the alchemists who belonged to the French Alchemical Society. Also, it gives real practical material, which would be continued by the Atomic Physicists, under the cloak of the utmost secrecy in the 20th Century. The recipe for gold making is in there as well.
Castells, F de P. ORGANIZATION OF THE ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER TWO CENTURIES AGO. Excellent, for the account of the schism between the Ancients and the Moderns, and the Union.
Champier, Symphorien. GALLIAE CELTI (1527), and SYMPHONIA (1528). Even though these were written and published long before the present volume's dating begins, they are important, in that in the former, one of the levels of the Church Hierarchy at Lyons was named Illuminati; and in the Latter, Champier styles himself "Eques Aureae" -- Knight of Light, a term which we do not come across until the late 18th Century, in one of the Orders that succeeded the Asiatic Brethren. The latter work is about the history of medicine, from Greek times, through the Arab period, to the author's times. The Former book is a history of Celtic France, mostly the history of Lyons. Has some very crucial historical items in it.
Charroux, Robert. MASTERS OF THE WORLD. Excellent for some of the things contained inside. We learn about John Worrell Keely and his motor, and the fact that Franz Hartmann came to Philadelphia in 1888 to Interview him.
Chemin-Dupontés, F. COURS PRATIQUE DE FRANC-MAÇONNERIE. This is an important course on the High Degrees of Grand Orient Freemasonry. It was published in 1841, therefore, before the striking of the Grand Architect out of the Ritual. Books 4 and 5 cover the Scottish Rite grades, up to the 33°.
Cher, Marie. CHARLOTTE CORDAY AND CERTAIN MEN OF THE REVOLUTIONARY TORMENT. A historical novel of the period.
Chereau, Antoine Guillaume. EXPLICATION DE LA CROIX PHILOSOPHIQUE, SUIVI DE EXPLICATION DE LA PIERRE CUBIQUE. 1806. This is for the Order of the Orient. Explains the history of the Order of the Orient, the Order known as the Chevaliers de La Croix, and the French Order of the Temple. This is a crucial work, and one which should be translated into the English and made available to the students of the History of the Johannite Tradition. There is an afterword, from 1981, by P. Bunout, which gives the histories of these various orders, and their relationships to each other, and to other important orders of the time.
Cross, Jeremy. CROSS' TEMPLARS' CHART, 4th Ed. 1857, xerox. Has a supplement that covers the Ineffable Degrees, AASR, too. Cross was a Cerneau mason. A Crucial piece of work, even if Cross left a lot to be desired.

-- THE IDOL WITH FEET OF CLAY: G R S MEAD IN THE THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY. Interesting exposé of the TS.
-- THE ARMCHAIR TRAVELER: H P B IN TIBET. Unflattering article on Blavatsky. But then Gilbert is a sort of successor to Ellic Howe.
Gober, Tim. INVESTIGATING THE ACTUAL PRESENCE OF MEDIUMSHIP. Has some items on Emma Hardinge Britten (perhaps a sentence or two).
Godwin, Joscelyn, Chanel, Christian, and Deveney, John P. THE HERMETIC BROTHERHOOD OF LUXOR. Initiatic and Historical Documents of an Order of Practical Occultism. It is clear to us, from reading this work, that while a great deal of it may have been created and/or developed by Randolph, Burgoyne, and/or Davidson, there is a line of descent going back to the Fratres Lucis, and perhaps, too, to the Asiatic Brethren. Since it contained a Who's Who of the French Occult Revival among its membership, we would be inclined to state that there was indeed an Order going back to hoary antiquity, from which this was but a visible manifestation. Certainly, the fact that it was engaged in a real war with the Theosophical Society gives it much credit to being original. This work cannot be appreciated, unless one has more of the source materials, though, and unless one also acquires Greenfield's excellent work, THE STORY OF THE HERMETIC BROTHERHOOD OF LIGHT.
Gould, Robert Freke. HISTORY OF FREEMASONRY. Four Volume American Edition in Red Morocco, 1903. Still, for me, the Best History of Freemasonry, even if Gould was anti-Esoterica... The materials int hese volumes definitely repay serious study.
Grand Orient of France. LA FRANC-MAÇONNERIE EN FRANCE DEPUIS 1725 (Exposé historique et doctrinal). (Two lectures by Louis Amiable and J. C. Colfavru, from 16 July 1889). Must be assimilated into the Timeline.
Greenfield, Allen H. The FRANKIST ECSTATICS OF THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY. Excellent short article on the Frankists and the influence they had on the Western Esoteric Tradition.
-- HERMETIC BROTHERHOOD REVISITED. Short article on the H B L.
-- ROSICRUCIANISM AND THE ROSICRUCIAN CONTROVERSY. Ditto, on the RC, the SRIA, and the Golden Dawn.
-- THE COMPLEAT RITE OF MEMPHIS. Excellent presentation of the history in brief, plus key rituals, documents, and all the secret work of all the degrees of the Rite.
-- TALES OF THELEMA. Tongue-in-cheek stories, from the author's website. Did the Frankists utilize the "F" Sign to signify their meeting-places?
-- SECRET CIPHER OF THE UFONAUTS. Key work on the battle between the Black and White Brotherhoods, as well as the relationship of Gods and Angels to the Extraterrestrials of today. Also, a narrative concerning the discovery of the Cipher 6 English Qabalah.
-- THE STORY OF THE HERMETIC BROTHERHOOD OF LIGHT. History of the H B L, plus very important documents.
-- PASCHAL BEVERLY RANDOLPH: SEXUAL MAGICK IN THE 19TH CENTURY. (Invisible Basilica article.) A biography.
Grillot-de-Givry. WITCHCRAFT, MAGIC, AND ALCHEMY. One of the best works of its kind, for the narrative, and for the artwork.
Hartmann, Franz. IN THE PRONAOS OF THE TEMPLE OF WISDOM. A lot of information in this very small booklet. Including details of Schroepfer's life.
Hastings, James, ed. HASTINGS' ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF RELIGION AND ETHICS. The best Encyclopaedia of its kind. We have utilized several articles from it.
Hinman, Denslow, and Hunt. HISTORY OF THE CRYPTIC RITE. A ton of useful information.
Howe, Ellic. THE MAGICIANS OF THE GOLDEN DAWN.
-- FRINGE MASONRY IN ENGLAND.
-- URANIA'S CHILDREN.
-- and Helmut Moller, THEODORE REUSS: Irregular Masonry in Germany.
Howe was a printer by trade, and a forgery expert for British Intelligence. He helped get the Germans hooked on the prophecies of Nostradamus, and then created bogus ones that predicted their loss of the war. He was an understudy of Sefton Delmer, an expert in Black Propaganda, and known as "Der Boss," a fake German General who had a weekly radio show.
Jannet, Claudio. [with Louis Estampes] LA FRANC-MAÇONNERIE ET LA RÉVOLUTION. This is a rather interesting work, since it contains information on the High Degrees, including the Arcana Arcanorum of the Rite of Misraim. Nesta Webster drew from the writings of Claudio Jannet.
-- LES PRÉCURSEURS DE LA FRANC-MAÇONNERIE AU XVI° ET AU XVII° SIECLE. Covers the Rosicrucians, and the various groups of ecstatics and enthusiasts that we are covering.
Jennings, Hargrave. THE ROSICRUCIANS THEIR RITES AND MYSTERIES etc. 2nd Ed.

Lennhoff, Eugen. THE FREEMASONS. One of the very best.
Leo XIII, Pope. HUMANUM GENUS. ENCYCLICAL ON FREEMASONRY, 20 APRIL 1884. Pronouncement against the Masons.
Lessing, Gotthold Ephraim. NATHAN THE WISE. The Historical introduction details Lessing's education and influences.
Levi, Eliphas. THE HISTORY OF MAGIC. Sometimes accurate, this work has a few things inside to warrant serious study. Including the Johannite Legend of the Templars.
-- TRANSCENDENTAL MAGIC.
-- THE BOOK OF SPLENDOURS, including afterword by Papus, with historical notes.
Lewis, H. Spencer. ROSICRUCIAN MANUAL. Spurious.
-- ROSICRUCIAN QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WITH COMPLETE HISTORY OF THE ORDER. Interesting, but contains questionable materials.
Lincoln, Henry. THE HOLY PLACE.
-- Several films for the BBC, including SHADOW OF THE TEMPLARS, THE SECRET OF THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR.
Mackenzie, Kenneth R. H. THE ROYAL MASONIC CYCLOPAEDIA. The Number One. The Best Masonic Encyclo, even if a great deal of it was lifted from Mackey.
Mackey, Albert G. LEXICON OF FREEMASONRY, Mackey, 1871 edition, probably the last to come out before the Encyclo came out in 1873-4.
-- ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF FREEMASONRY AND ITS KINDRED SCIENCES, 2 Volume Edition. (1920 something). I would like to get a copy of the 3 volume set.
-- MACKEY'S HISTORY OF FREEMASONRY in 7 Volumes, edited etc by R I Clegg. We have recently found a website that has most of this work digitized.
-- THE NATIONAL FREEMASON, in two out of three volumes, 1872 - 1874, we are missing the 1871-2 edition. Many useful articles in these volumes.
MacLean, Adam. BACSTROM'S ROSICRUCIAN SOCIETY. A good short narrative on the elusive characters of Sigismund Bacstrom and the Comte de Chazal.
Marconi de Negre, Jacques Etienne. LE SANCTUAIRE DE MEMPHIS. This is the 1849 French Edition. It covers the secret work of the first 33 Degrees, plus gives all the rules , regulations, functions of the hierarchy, and instructions for funerals and table Lodges. The Historical lecture is useful.
Martin, Bernard C. A HISTORY OF THE JEWS, Volume Two: Europe and America. Covers roughly 1100 c.e., to the 20th Century.
Martin, Rose L. FABIAN FREEWAY. Details the origins of the Fabian Socialists, and has a lot of historical info in it.
Marx, Karl. Selected Writings. Mentions some of the societies that were offshoots of the Tugendbund.
Matter, M. LE MYSTICISME EN FRANCE AU TEMPS DE FÉNELON. This work details the period of Molinos, Fenelon, Ramsay. It is in this period that we find the French Illuminés, and the seeds of Hermetic Masonry, of the Illuminati, of Martinism, and of the French Occult Revival.
Miller, Edith Starr ("Lady" Queensborough). OCCULT THEOCRASY. Contains some documents relating to the O. T. O., and some useful information, but for the most part is paranoid drivel. She in fact, was a believer in the Leo Taxil revelations.
Mittler, Eugene. LA QUESTION DES RAPPORTS ENTRE LE SOCIALISME, LE SYNDICALISME, ET LA FRANC-MAÇONNERIE. This is one of those works which should have been noticed by Nesta Webster, since it covers the same themes.
Morgan, William. ILLUSTRATIONS OF MASONRY, by one of the Fraternity. This is a reprint edition of Morgan's exposé.
Mounier, J. J. DE L'INFLUENCE ATTRIBUÉE AUX PHILOSOPHES AUX FRANCS-MAÇONS ET AUX ILLUMINÉS SUR LA RÉVOLUTION DE FRANCE. Another work which influenced Nesta Webster. This has some historical data in it that is useful, though.
Nerval, Gérard de. LES ILLUMINÉS OU LES PRÉCURSEURS DU SOCIALISME. An excellent novella, containing some interesting bits of gossip pertaining to the French History of the Illuminati.
Oesterreich. POSSESSION: DEMONIACAL AND OTHER. Has a lot of tech, but also has some historical narrative on the investigation of this subject.
Oliver, Rev. George. TWO LETTERS ON ROYAL ARCH MASONRY. Inscribed inside by W J Hughan, hand corrected proof copy, either by Oliver himself or his printer. Has a narrative of the schism that ripped English Masonry apart for a long time, namely the Ancients and the Moderns, and the Union of 1813.
-- HISTORICAL LANDMARKS OF FREEMASONRY, Volume two. Excellent material in there, this one is Cincinnati 1851. Contains a lot of details on the origins of high grade rites.
Papus (Gerard Encausse). L'OCCULTISME CONTEMPORAIN. Covers the precursors and prime movers of the French Occult Revival, and is really a prelude to the history of Borderland Science. The earliest influences were Saint Martin, Fabré d'Olivet, Hoene-Wronski, and Louis Lucas. This connects the Messianism of Wronski to the Occult Science of the 19th Century, and is a crucial historical document.
-- LA SCIENCE DES MAGES. Mentions Occult Societies that were active towards the end of the 19th Century. Including the H B of L.
-- ANARCHIE, INDOLENCE & SYNARCHIE. This is not a historical essay, but a political essay. The politics behind the French Occult Revival were influenced by the Messianism of Hoene Wronski and Junius Frey.
-- LA SCIENCE SECRÈTE. (This is a collection of articles by Barlet, Papus, Doctor Ferran, Stanislas De Guaita, Eugene Nus, and Julien Le Jay. The article by Doctor Ferran on the Origin of Freemasonry is the best, since the historical narrative covers the same line of descent from ancient times as we are covering. We used to think we were guessing, but the more we find: the more we find others have been arriving at these conclusions too. And, with that, proofs tend to show up sooner or later.)
-- BIBLIOGRAPHIE METHODIQUE DE LA SCIENCES OCCULTE. This is an annotated Bibliography, divided into sections, as well as a book catalogue. A lot of important historical discoveries abound in this work. It is nicely designed , too, unlike catalogues of today. This was much more than a mere occult movement. It included politics, psychology, medicine, health, diet, social justice. Of course, this is just grist for the mill, that the hack writers use against the truth.
-- TRAITE ELEMENTAIRE DE SCIENCE OCCULTE. Has some crucial historical data in it, including Papus avowing that he was a Member of the H B of L.
-- TRAITE METHODIQUE DE LA MAGIE PRATIQUE. Not only is this by far the best work on Magic (and Magick) since Agrippa, it also dwarfs everything that follows it. This work has a lot of information on the electricity in the body, and its relationship to the planes around it, and the ability to use this to success in magical workings, in the "Magical Laboratory".
-- THE TAROT OF THE BOHEMIANS. Some historical details.
Partner, Peter. THE MURDERED MAGICIANS. About the Knights Templar, and the movements their persecution inspired, including the Rosicrucians, the Freemasons, the Illuminati, and more.
Pasqually, Martines. TRAITE DES REINTEGRATIONS DES ETRES. The classic text, has to be included in this list, since it exerted a profound influence upon the reforms of Freemasonry that made possible the High Degrees, as well as the evolution of the Occult Tradition. The anonymous historical introduction is crucial.
Pauwels, Louis, and Bergier, Jacques. THE MORNING OF THE MAGICIANS. Sometimes useful, this work has some historical data. A lot of the time, though the book is pure speculation, and too dependant on the philosophies of Gurdjieff and Bennett.
Penny, Edward Burton. THEOSOPHIC CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN LOUIS CLAUDE DE SAINT MARTIN AND KIRCHBERGER, BARON DE LIEBISTORF MEMBER OF THE GRAND COUNCIL OF BERNE. Excellent tidbits can be found in these letters.
Pernetty, Antoine Joseph. LES FABLES EGYPTIENNES ET GRECQUES. This is one of the crucial works in the evolution of Freemasonry in France, especially Hermetic Freemasonry. It begins with a long treatise on Alchemy, including a lot of quotes from rare works, such as Morien. Pernetty's work had a strong influence on the French Alchemical Society, and on the Occult Revival.
Picknett and Prince. THE TEMPLAR REVELATION.
Pike, Albert. LEGENDAS XIX - XXX. Original release. Some Historical material, like that of the Vehm Gerichte, and the struggles that took place in the Crusades.
-- Legendas and Readings. [Covers the Lodge of Perfection, the Council of Kadosh, and the 32° as to the Legendas; and the 32° as to the Readings.]
-- Liturgies (4° - 30°). Has some of the Johannite material.
-- THE BOOK OF THE WORDS. Some important observations on the Ancients versus the Hanoverians.
-- Old Cahier of the 33°. (Kessinger Reprint.) This is an early 33° Ritual, in which it states that none may be admitted to this degree, unless they be Ancient Masons. This Ritual would have been composed during the period of the great Schism, so the word Ancient has an important technical meaning. Indeed, throughout the corpus of Pike's writings, even, which were written long after the Union of 1813, can be found pro-Ancient (Antient) sentiments.
-- Cerneau Volume, has some valuable moments in there, especially for the historian. It is a collection of pamphlets from the 1880s. Some of which bear hand corrections in Pikes and Mackey's handwriting:
-- OF CERNEAUISM: A MEMOIR. Historical narrative of the development of the AASR, and the life and career of Joseph Cerneau.
-- FOULHOUZEANISM AND CERNEAUISM SCOURGED. More of the same.
-- A HISTORICAL INQUIRY IN REGARD TO THE GRAND CONSTITUTIONS OF 1786. The best piece in the collection, has the best history of the Bavarian Illuminati we have seen, and probably the best on the Rite of Perfection we have seen.
-- CERNEAUISM: PERTINENT QUESTIONS TO BE ASKED BY ITS VICTIMS.
-- A SLIGHT CONTRIBUTION TO THE HISTORY OF CERNEAUISM.
-- HISTORY VS. CERNEAUISM.
-- LATEST CERNEAUISMS.
-- MASONIC ORIGINES. Excellent essay. Whoever owns (i.e., creates, or is licensed by the charges) the Ritual, owns the Rite.
-- THE MODERN CALIBAN.
-- A FEW MORE CERNEAUISMS.
-- GETTING RECOGNIZED RAPIDLY: COLD COMFORT FOR DUPES.
-- COPIES OF LETTERS.
-- PERTINENT QUESTIONS TO BE ASKED BY VICTIMS OF THE TWIN BASTARDS OF CERNEAUISM.
-- PERTINENT QUESTIONS FOR IMPOSTORS TO ANSWER.
-- BEAUTIES OF CERNEAUISM, NUMBERS 1 THROUGH 6.
Poisson, Albert. THEORIES ET SYMBOLES DES ALCHIMISTES. Contains some historical data on the transmission of the Alchemical Tradition, including the 19th Century.
Polanyi, Karl. THE GREAT TRANSFORMATION: The Political and Economic Origins of our time.
Postgate, R. W. REVOLUTION FROM 1789 - 1906. Excellent. Contains timelines and source documents.
Postma, Ida. THE BIRTH OF A NEW ORDER. The Occult Revival...
Randolph, Paschal Beverly. (in an anthology by (mostly by) Robert North.) SEXUAL MAGIC. Some historical data, some paraphrasing of Randolph's books.
Ravenscroft, Trevor. THE SPEAR OF DESTINY. Some historical data. More important from the pov of the war between the Black and White Brotherhoods. Excellent for orientation, even if it is flawed in its orientation towards Rudolph Steiner.
Regardie, Israel. THE COMPLETE GOLDEN DAWN SYSTEM OF MAGIC. Contrary to what the purists say, this is the best version. Those who would like to teach us otherwise, might send us a copy of the Llewellyn Edition.
-- WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE GOLDEN DAWN. The appendices are worth quite a bit. Especially the Gerald Suster notes, pertaining to the Nascent Dawn Lodge.
Robison, John. PROOFS OF A CONSPIRACY. More for the quoted materials than for the historical details, although a lot is said about the Chevaliers Bienfaisants de la Saint Cité, and the Loge Theodor du bon conseil.
Rochas, Albert de. LES FRONTIERES DE LA SCIENCE. 1st and Second Series. Demonstrates the lineage of the "New" Science, from Maxwell, Puysegur, etc., through Reichenbach, and on, to the 20th Century. Connected with the Occult Revival, Poisson's second work deals with the Psychic Sciences, including some observations by his friend, Jules Bois. This set is truly one of the precursors of the Borderland Scientists.
Roob, Alexander. ALCHEMY & MYSTICISM: THE HERMETIC MUSEUM. Excellent for the pictures.
Roscoe. THE WEB OF CONSPIRACY. (Lincoln Assassination. Has a lot of coverage of Olcott's role in the investigation.)
Ruggiu, Jean-Pascal. ROSICRUCIAN ALCHEMY AND THE HERMETIC ORDER OF THE GOLDEN DAWN. Ruggiu is present Imperator (in 1996) of the Ahathoor Temple No. 7 in Paris. He doesn't like Crowley successions of the Golden Dawn. We do not agree, however, that such an animal as the FARC exists and is superior to all the others, especially since one of its Imperators was Rudolph Steiner. That reveals its invention. These people are serious students. Hurumpfhhh...
Sabazius. Articles from the excellent website, SABAZIUS' INVISIBLE BASILICA, too numerous to mention by individual name. Later editions of this Bibliography shall attempt to mention the articles.
Sade, D. A. F. de. The Complete Justine, Philosophy in the Bedroom, etc.
-- Juliette.
-- 120 Days in Sodom. When a writer like Sade writes down the gossip he hears while languishing in the Bastille, watch out!
Sataslaatten, Olav H. MARTINEZ PASQUALLY AND LE CHEVALIERS ELUS COENS. A nice short article on the subject. Has Pasqually being born in 1727. Although we would probably cite the Anonymously written French text, Nouvelle Notice Historique sur le Martinesisme et le Martinisme.
Scholem, Gershom G. MAJOR TRENDS IN JEWISH MYSTICISM.
-- THE MESSIANIC IDEA IN JUDAISM. This work has an article in it entitled "Redemption Through Sin," in which Scholem refers to Moses Dobruschka (aka Franz Thomas von Schoenfeld aka Junius Brutus Frey) without mentioning his name.
-- THE KABBALAH. This is a collection of Scholem's articles from The Encyclopaedia Judaica. This is our major source for Jakob Frank and the Shabbeteans.
Schuchard, Marsha Keith. WHY MRS. BLAKE CRIED: SWEDENBORG, BLAKE, AND THE SEXUAL BASIS OF SPIRITUAL VISION. This excellent article discusses Swedenborg, Blake, the Moravians, the Shabbeteans, the Frankists, the Rabbi Falk, the Rite of Seven Degrees of Pierre Lambert de Lintot, and more. Crucial.
Schwartz, Dieter. FREEMASONRY: IDEOLOGY, ORGANISATION, AND POLICY. This is Nazi Propaganda, written by an SS Officer. Therefore it is not included because we consider it to be valid history. It is hateful tripe. However, there is information included on the Nascent Dawn Lodge (Rising Dawn) at Frankfurt - am - Main.
Seligmann, Kurt. THE HISTORY OF MAGIC AND THE OCCULT. Excellent art source. Some historical details.
Segre. FROM X RAYS TO QUARKS. A Histoiry of Quantum Physics.

Stiffler, R. Ewing. DESCENDANTS OF JOEL B. YOUNKER (1809 - 1879) AND SARAH (STIFFLER) YOUNKER (1813 - 1895). "A genealogy listing 325 descendants of a pioneer family of Pennsylvania "Dutch" ancestry, married in New Philadelphia, Ohio, migrated to Iowa, and back-tracked to Genesee, Illinois." 1947.
Sturzo, Dom. Luigi. CHURCH AND STATE. The teacher's edition for the class: "ORIGINS AND RATIONALISM FOR MISERY IN WESTERN SOCIETY 101".
Stryz, Jan. THE ALCHEMY OF THE VOICE AT EPHRATA CLOISTER. Excellent article on the Ephrata community.

Supreme Council of France. THE SUPREME COUNCIL FOR FRANCE AND ITS DEPENDANCIES IN RE JOSEPH CERNEAU.
Suskind, Richard. BY BULLET, BOMB & DAGGER: The Story of Anarchism.
Tatsch, Maj. J Hugo. THE FACTS ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON AS A FREEMASON. An interesting work.
Taylor, A. J. P. THE ORIGINS OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR.
Tschoudy, Baron Charles Theodor. L'ÉTOILE FLAMBOYANTE. One of the most important, if not THE MOST IMPORTANT, texts, in the history of High Grade Freemasonry, that has ever been written. Space forbids us from elaborating here. Tschoudy narrates the history of the Chevaliers de l'Orient, who were connected to the Chevaliers de l'Aurore et de Palestine. These were the Qadosh Fathers we have written about elsewhere. See also Castellot's work, noticed above, on the history of Alchemy. Volume II of Tschoudy's work gives the famous catechism, that has been utilized by everyone since Levi. The material in this work connects not only with Castellot, but with Chereau.
Udry, J Richard. THE SOCIAL CONTEXT OF MARRIAGE. Examines the invention of the institution of marriage, not in ancient times, but in relatively recent times.
Valerian, Valdamar. The TRUFAX CHRONOLOGY. (from the Leading Edge Research Group Website). Not always accurate.
Van Doren, Carl. SECRET HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION.
Versluis, Dr. Arthur. WESTERN ESOTERICISM AND THE HARMONY SOCIETY. The Rapp community.

-- THE HIDDEN CHURCH OF THE HOLY GRAIL.
-- LAMPS OF WESTERN MYSTICISM. -- Has some useful details on the background of the Golden Rosicrucians, on Fenelon, Molinos, Guyon, Boehme, Gichtel, Bourignon, Pordage, Leade, the Philadelphians, etc.
-- A NEW ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF FREEMASONRY. Useful, if opinionated. One must affirm each one of Waite's denials in order to get to a reasonable approximation of the truth.
-- THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE ROSY CROSS. Useful, for the details on the Golden Rosicrucians and the Fratres Lucis.
-- EMBLEMATIC FREEMASONRY. Excellent articles, considering they were written by Waite.
-- THE HOLY KABBALAH. The historical material stands, actually, the tests put to it by our research.
-- THE FRENCH MYSTIC AND THE STORY OF MODERN MARTINISM. This is a story of Saint Martin.
Waite's works are valuable, even if they require a special kind of orientation in order to use them, and a lot of patience... After all, his name was Waite....!
Weber, Eugen. THE WESTERN TRADITION. Both in Book form, and in the PBS Television Series.
Webster, Nesta. WORLD REVOLUTION.
-- SECRET SOCIETIES AND SUBVERSIVE MOVEMENTS, by Nesta Webster, reprint paperback editions, no copyrights.
These works are valuable, even if of the opposite opinion we hold, because the historical matters that we have been able to verify, did happen. Secret Societies has many humorous moments.
Wechsberg, Joseph. THE MERCHANT BANKERS.
Wells, Benjamin W. MODERN GERMAN LITERATURE. [As of 1909, e.v.] Excellent material on Goethe, Lessing, Herder, Heine, etc.
Westcott, W. Wynn. THE HISTORY OF THE GOLDEN DAWN.
-- GOLDEN DAWN HISTORIC LECTURE.

Some of Westcott's short essays on the history of these Orders. These are useful as historical documents, rather than as history.

Wilson, Robert Anton. EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL.
-- THE WIDOW'S SON.
-- THE COSMIC TRIGGER (The First Edition).
Winter, Dan. MISSION IGNITION: IGNITING THE GRID. Crap, but has a few gossip items in it.

Wood, David. GENISIS. Has some useful items, but the conclusions need help, especially pertaining to castrations.

Wronski, Josef Maria de Hoene. PRODROME DU MESSIANISME. Teacher of Levi, and others important to the French Occult Revival, Wronski shows his debt to Moses Dobruschka aka Franz Thomas von Schoenfeld, aka Junius Brutus Frey, in this very crucial work. Messianism no longer was an oddity confined to the Shabbeteans and the Frankists. Now it was the domain of the French Philosophes.
Yallop, David. IN GOD'S NAME. The Vatican Bank scandal. One wonders if John Paul I had apple pie the night before.

We plan to add to this listing as we add new materials and/or find source materials we have forgotten to include.
