TO CONCLUDE...

Once upon a time, this Tree was a Cedar Tree, which the Sumerians revered as a form of the Dur.An.Ki. Later on it was absorbed into the mythologies of several peoples. One of these included the Jews, who had the Teacher's Oak at Mamre. Probably important earlier than the time of the Essenes, it featured prominently in the Hymns in the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Teacher of Righteousness was hung upside down at this important tree, on the Day of Atonement (DuKu). This was the Cosmic Tree, or World Tree. It was the centre of the universe, much like Mount Meru is, in the East. This would eventually be worked into early Kabbalistic speculation, and be featured in the Sepher ha-Bahir. Ultimately, this would become a symbol known as the Tree of Life, or Tree of the Sephiroth. Is that not the DurAnKi? Yea, Is that not the DurAnKi?.
